My journey in the Japanese anime/light novel/manga world!

About

Welcome to my website about my Japanese collection!

I mainly focus on my two most important collections: my figures and my Date A Live merch!

You can see my photos on the Gallery page and read reviews of my figures.

The adult section is protected by a password and uncensored photos are there. However, some photos are nonetheless Not Safe For Work in the general section. Therefore, proceed at your own discretion.

History

All began in April 2020, when I saw some Date A Live figures while searching for Danmachi goods. I liked the design of the characters very much (especially Tohka's purple hair and Kurumi's clock eye)! So, in May, I watched the three seasons of the anime. The characters that I have seen before had voices! It confirmed my interest in Tohka and Kurumi. Since then, DAL has been my favorite anime. Therefore, I preordered my first scale figure (Yatogami Tohka Finest Kimono). It is the order that really started my collection.
In August, I purchased the Tsunako Art Book Spirit and a tapestry with Kurumi wearing Santa clothes. A tapestry is much better than a poster, it is easy to fold it without damaging it! Strangely, I don't see this type of article in shops in France.

The next month, I bought and received Tokisaki Kurumi Alluring Kimono. Therefore, it is the first figure I have had in my hands! On that day, I knew I had just started something big. I was so pleased to see a 2D character from a screen becoming a 3D object in real life!

In October, I bought seven items from Date A Live including the Dragon Magazine November 2020 with a mini plastic bag, one of the rare items which features Mukuro, accompanied by Kurumi, Tohka and Kotori (at the center of the picture). It has been my favorite picture from Date A Live since this day, so this illustration will return later. This order also contained 4 clear files that are very useful to decorate my room.

In December, I ordered Yatogami Tohka by Good Smile Company. I thought my purchases for 2020 were finished but I found her in stock! I like her very much. It would have been a shame to not buy her.

In January 2021, I finally received Yatogami Tohka Finest Kimono! Kurumi and she are pretty in their kimonos.

In February, I received a package with Date A Live items and a Danmachi tapestry.

In April, another package arrived at my home! Tapestries and clear files are always welcomed because I swap them often. With this order, I started buying CDs.

In June, CDs and clear files came again! The book in the following photo explains the events in the second season of DAL.

In July, I bought two Date A Live books (in the middle of the following photo). The top one describes the events in the first season and has a lot of pictures I have never seen before. And the other one is a guide for Rinne Utopia, so it contains some pictures of my favorite character from Date A Live! It is too bad that Rinne does not have figures.

In September, I made another purchase. This time, I bought Linkage, an album sung by Mami Kawada. I like her songs a lot even if I cannot understand Japanese. I was searching for more CDs when I saw Fuzichoco ArtBook. I did not know this artist but I liked her illustrations very much. It is a very nice book. I am truly happy to have it.

In October, I received Natsumi DX from Bell Fine just in time for Halloween! It is a shame that she is my worst figure ever.

Last order of the year was for Christmas. I bought a Date A Live CD and the last album released by Mami Kawada, which is a best of (MAMI KAWADA BEST "F"). It is always a pleasure to listen to her music! And, to finish 2021, I am so happy to have my favorite illustration drawn by Tsunako for Date A Live on a bigger support than the small plastic bag gifted with Dragon Magazine! When I saw that it was released on a tapestry, I knew I had to buy it. But it was only sold in Japan! Fortunately, CD Japan (which I use for all my orders, except figures) has a proxy service. I am so glad to have it!

2021 was a year full with many packages so I decided to slow down for 2022. Tohka’s birthday is on the 10th of April. Thus, I gathered all my items featuring her for this occasion.

On 14th July 2022, I went to Japan Expo 2022, near Paris in France. I bought two unofficial items: a clear file showcasing the main characters of Fate/Stay Night and a book explaining the Fate franchise.

Later this month I received Shinjou Akane by Phat (purchased in May). It was my first figure shipped from Japan, so I was a little bit worried but she arrived fine.

In October 2022, I acquired my first prize figure, Altria Pendragon Lily, and my first Nendoroid, Altria Caster. Two very nice figures for the price, but I prefer scale ones.

The month after, Illyasviel von Einzbern: Saber/Altria, my favorite figure, arrived! I think she will stay at the top of my most liked figure list for a very long time.

2023 started with a new order containing three CDs, two art books and a tapestry. I like the music used for the fourth season of Date A Live a lot. Some titles seem very different from those used before. I think this package clearly shows that I will add Prisma Illya items to my collection. The art book is in fact included with the Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei!! Vol. 13 and displays various characters from several TYPE-MOON works. The NOCO art book gathers illustrations from the Date A Bullet universe. The tapestry, with Kurumi, Tohka and Origami, is among my favorites!

After waiting for more than 600 days, Tokisaki Kurumi Wedding Dress arrived! She is so beautiful and reminds me of a very important scene in Date A Bullet.

At the end of April, I purchased my first Gundam (well almost but my first one has been stolen long ago). It was really fun to build it and so satisfying to admire it after finishing it.

At Japan Expo Paris 2023, I discovered by chance Rigël Theatre, a musical group which produces celtic music. Indeed, I bought their latest CD, Solringen, just by looking at the illustration. I liked their songs a lot, so I searched for more music! I found Älvorna and Ursa Minor on AliceBooks and it may have been an excuse to buy some doujinshi…

In April 2024, More than one year after receiving my last scale figure, I found a very great deal on Illyasviel Racing by Stronger !

In May, I purchased my second Gunpla.

In October, I received my first adult figure, Eve Usamimi. My most expensive to date and one of my favorite, even if she is in a different style than my usual figures.
