xelaco's Japanese tapestries

I like tapestries a lot! They are much more sturdy than posters so they can easily be swapped. Also, they are not damaged when folded, facilitating the storage. However, the high price tag is a big disadvantage. I will show my tapestries on this page, beginning with the one I like the most.

This tapestry is based on my favorite illustration from Date A Live. It shows Kurumi, Tohka, Kotori and Mukuro living a normal life after the events in the main books. Kurumi’s two red eyes and Kotori’s white and black ribbons are rarely represented. The background is rather simple but the leaves and floating petals are a nice touch to make the scene look more dynamic.

Next, we meet again Kurumi and Tohka, met by Origami to eat ice cream. As expected of Tohka, hers is way bigger! But the most important point is Origami’s smile! Yes, she is happy to be with her friends! But I wonder when this scene is occurring. I prefer tapestries with a decorated background opposed to the ones with a blank space behind the characters.

Oh, this year it is Kurumi who brings the presents? She has a big bag with her, I wonder what treasures are inside. Red is Kurumi’s color so this outfit suits her very well. She must be cold with her legs displayed but the view is really charming.

Inverse Tohka/Tenka is hungry! I wonder if this type of food is really a good idea to keep being ready to battle at all times. It is a shame that she does not seem happy. I hesitated a lot before buying this illustration but after reading Tenka’s story, I understand how she is feeling.

The other color that Kurumi likes is the black. This time, her dress shows more of this color, with some red ribbons. It seems Kurumi is falling, it is an interesting design.

Tohka, Miku and Origami are reunited for a dance. Their formal dresses are nice.

Tohka is a character that appears a lot on my tapestries.

Yoshino is very cute in this witch outfit. Impossible to be scared of her. However, it is hard to let her leave without giving her some candies!

I have one tapestry from Danmachi Sword Oratoria. Without Tiona and Tione, it would have been perfect. Well, the cityscape is pleasant.
